Grew up here for most of my teen years...I would aspire to live here but if you have to it's not the worse places to live.
Owner and manager are both very friendly. The workers, not so much. Decent prices and good quality wares.
So we fought them and sent a formal letter to both continental north and it's parent company to dispute the claim. It took us almost two months before we got our $140 back, that also required my wife having to call and ask about it weekly. This experience was eye opening. And if it werent for the return of the money this review would be 1 star.
My advice if you want to lease here is to take a lot of pictures when you move out and fight anything that is not right. I would also talk to Sun Homes instead of Continental North to get anything done.
I advise no one to ever rent or lease from this company. I fulfilled my lease, paid my rent in time every month, and made sure I left the home in great condition. Once my lease was up and I decided to move they hit me with all types of fees and back rent even though I wasn't on a lease. Beware of this place they are crooks!!!! I advise no one to lease from Sun Homes!!! If I could give them no stars I would!
Horrible place to live! The manager is awful and it's very expensive.
But all of this to me didn't deserve 3 stars all by it self. When my wife and I moved out, the office lady asked us if she could cancel our walk through because than she could do it whenever on the 1st. She also explained to me that unless there were serious damage then we would get our security deposit back. I accepted and let her do it so that I could focus on moving to my new place. A few weeks later I receive a letter with my security deposit but it's almost $140 short for damages. We left no damages other than minor scuffs from furniture and small holes from pictures. The state of Michigan requires landlords to return full deposits for minor damage associated with normal ware and tare.
This trailer park is nice to look at and has a decent community. The management is there to rip you off though. Rates go up yearly while they won't pay for much(like recycling). Unless you live in front of their office building you barely get plowed in the winter.
